CONFORMED

Art reflects our existence as purely as we feel it and as coldly as we believe we know it. We project our vision of the world, but we cannot avoid tainting it with our desires and repressions. We become forgeries of our own representations, feeling art to be more real than life itself. We pretend to be in control, yet we inhabit a distorted image of ourselves. Our search for reality becomes an echo of what has already been created.

We find ourselves formed to fit into this illusion, deformed by its interpretation, transformed into a display product, reformed to live an empty reality, and conformed to our evident lie.

CONFORMADOS

El arte refleja nuestra existencia tan puramente como la sentimos y tan fríamente como creemos conocerla. Proyectamos nuestra visión del mundo, pero no podemos evitar adulterarla con nuestros anhelos y represiones. Nos convertimos en falsificaciones de nuestras representaciones, sintiendo más real el arte que la vida misma. Fingimos tener el control, pero habitamos una imagen distorsionada de nosotros mismos. Nuestra búsqueda de realidad se convierte en un eco de lo ya creado.

Nos encontramos formados para encajar en esta ilusión, deformados por su interpretación, transformados en producto de escaparate, reformados para vivir una realidad vacía y conformados con nuestra evidente mentira.
