José Tomás (Pepe) Pujol Carabantes (San José de Costa Rica 1977, Spanish/Chilean), obtained higher education degrees in Fine Arts from the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti in Torino, the Wiessensee Kunst Hoschule in Berlin, and the EFTI School of Photography in Madrid, where he also obtained a postgraduate degree in Photography. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Madrid, Barcelona, Sitges, Sant Pere de Ribes and Santiago de Chile. He has also published his Photography Works in a number of specialized fashion and sports magazines. His work alternates between Photography and Graphic Art, and has in both disciplines acquired, over time, a more conceptual and psychological character while at the same time diversifying the techniques through which he shapes his thematic evolution.

The works exhibited in Artevistas gallery mainly present urban landscapes, although they also include works in the field of portraiture and plant life. In all of them, the artist uses, in an innovative way, techniques of fragmentation of color and form, in which he uses adhesive tapes of different colors applied to panels of agglomerated wood. Pixilation, abstraction in the details and deconstructivism are terms that can be used to describe the peculiar work of Pepe Pujol. The result of all this are creations in which the iconographic and pictorial aspects come together in the plane to generate a coherent and aesthetically impressive whole.
