”Mushroom Forest” new acrylic painting by Mark Rox exploring the intersection of fantasy and immersive technology. Executed in a rich neon palette, the composition depicts a dense, bioluminescent mushroom landscape illuminated by ultraviolet light sources. Layered brushwork and controlled gradients create a sense of atmospheric depth, while reflective elements guide the viewer’s eye through a winding stream toward a luminous horizon. Integrated AR features allow digital inhabitants of the forest to appear when viewed through compatible devices, extending the work beyond the physical surface. This piece represents a new experimental direction in my practice.
